Your privacy.
What you share is used to deliver your project and reply to you, and nothing else.
Last updated: 6 November 2026. This notice explains how MK Select, part of MK Sites, handles information shared through mkselect.co.
Your brief and payment
The project brief asks for your name, work email, company, and optionally your role and current website, plus the pages, features, timing, and goals for your site. When you continue to payment, these details are attached to your Stripe checkout so the brief can be matched to your payment. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page and handled by Stripe; we never see or store them.
When your brief is sent
Your brief is sent to us only after Stripe confirms your payment. It is delivered through our hosting provider’s form service, which stores it and filters spam, and by email to our team inbox through FormSubmit and Google’s Gmail. Until you complete payment, your answers stay in your own browser’s session storage.
Sage, the site guide
Questions you type into Sage on the home page are sent to Google’s Gemini API to write an answer, along with the earlier messages in that conversation. We use Gemini’s free tier, under which Google may use what you type and Sage’s answers to improve its products, so please don’t share private details. Visitors in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the UK get Sage’s built-in answers instead, and nothing they type is sent to Google. We don’t save the conversation. To limit misuse, we keep a daily count of questions per visitor, tied to a one-way hash of your IP address, and reset it each day.
Journal emails
If you subscribe to Journal emails, we store your email address with our hosting provider’s form service and use it only to send new articles. Reply to any email or write to us to unsubscribe.
Cookies, analytics, and fonts
This site does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies. Fonts are hosted on the site itself. Stripe’s checkout page uses its own cookies, described in Stripe’s privacy policy.
External links
Case studies link to other websites, such as FACECTRL, Lions Fight Brooklyn, ZYVORA, and Maccabi USA Soccer. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
Retention and requests
Brief and payment records are kept as long as needed to deliver your project and meet accounting obligations. To ask about your information or request deletion, email us.
